Job Summary:

The Coordinator assists the Admissions Office in its effort to attract and build relationships with potential students. Several of the chief tasks include hiring, training, and supervising student callers, managing data list creation, record keeping, coordination of mailings to alumni volunteers, receiving and ensuring data entry of prospect data, and preparing regular reports.


Serve as Coordinator of Telecounseling and Alumni Volunteer Activities in support of new student recruitment.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Hire, train, and supervise student employees
- Encourage prospective students and families to visit and apply to ONU.
- Manage the data needed for student callers, along with collecting the results of calls
- Ensure accurate data entry to record system
- Review applicant files for acceptance/rejection to the University.
- Act as liaison with assigned academic units to encourage faculty participation in recruiting.
- Maintain communication with alumni volunteers
- Ensure timely shipping and return of materials with alumni volunteers
- Encourage participation and build relationships with alumni clubs
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree
- One year of Admissions or similar work experience
- Valid driver’s license

- Must be willing to travel and work outside standard business hours including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree
- Two or more years of Admissions or similar work experience
