Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the functions of the Office of the Registrar. Several of the chief tasks include processing monitoring student athlete eligibility, recording transfer/transient requests, processing transcript requests, assisting with registration and other front-line duties as necessary.

Scope:

Support the Office of the Registrar through performing a variety of clerical tasks.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Process transcript requests
- Record transfer work and distribute evaluations to the Deans
- Be the primary contact for TES/Transferology related questions/issues
- Process all enrollment requests and degree verifications
- Record and distribute exam credit information
- Monitor student athlete eligibility and assist in preparing documents to be submitted to the athletic conference
- Organize final exam schedule and assist students with exam conflicts
- Process all room requests
- Perform general clerical tasks including receiving phone calls, answering email, responding to general inquiries, scanning documents, collecting and maintaining data, filing records, and opening mail
- Act as a back-up to other front-line staff during peak times or in their absence
- Other duties as assigned by Registrar and Associate Registrar

Required Skills:

- Excellent organization, communication and inter-personal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to perform moderately complex procedures using basic analytic ability
- Ease in discussing important issues with higher officials through cooperation, explanation, and persuasion
- Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make recommendations or decisions affecting the entire department and beyond
- Ability to communicate both orally and via written communication with persons of all levels while maintaining confidentiality
-Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and detail
- Understand and follow basic FERPA rule and regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. At least one to two years of similar office experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Vocational school, technical school, certification, training, an apprenticeship, or some college course work beyond high school Two to three years of similar office experience. Experience with BANNER database.
